there are several types of Reptile enclosures that can be used to house reptiles.
some keepers have gone to the extreme measure of a cattle trough.
a friend of mine has one outside for summer heat and fresh air for his 2 beardies.
just make sure that there are no cats or other pets that could climb in and have lunch. also make sure any branches are not too close to the top for your reptile to jump out.
lights can even be secured to the rim with a little ingenuity.
glass enclosures used for fish are probably the most common pens.
the good thing is they are not too expensive and you can find them
just about anywhere.
and are generally pretty easy to clean and heat.
they make pretty good homes for one maybe two pets.
however, if you breed or are raising more than a couple, a glass
fish aquarium can be difficut to clean since they only open from the top.
one thing to do is get a molded plastic cage,
with sliding front doors for quick cleaning and vents on top for lighting
zoo med offers affordable enclosures even for beardies
durable
attractive
easy to clean
light weight
easy to heat
so for one or maybe two i would recommend zoo med, i love the ease with wich i can clean and heat my beardie.

How To Organize Your Cage & Get Rid Of Possible Mites And Bacteria
first dont get confused by the term substrate it is just another way of saying flooring or bedding material.
natural substrate is exactly that, all natural, such as coconut husks, bark chips, mulch etc..
in my opinion most snakes will thrive on natural substrate as long as the bedding is well maintained.
and is not kept too wet, and i think it goes a long way to a very natural look.
i like to go roughly 3 inches deep wich allows for sufficient burrowing.
the big drawback is that it can be difficult to clean, can hold bacteria, hides waste and has a tendency to hold extra water.
Aspen Snake Bedding review...
This bedding is very easy to clean and completely odorless (ask my girlfriend).
safe for all snakes.
Contains no toxic resins or oils.(no worries about digesting printed newspapers).
Odorless and virtually dust free.(cute girls will hold your snake more readily than a smelly room and cage, trust me on this)
191% absorptivity to keep cages clean and fresh.(no problems cleaning)
Light color makes it easy to spot clean as well as find parasites or pests that might be hidden with other substrates (so important for your animals health)
Easy to clean (did i mention that already)
